Shannon George

Hi, my name is Shannon George and I recently joined the CCLC team. I have been working closely with children for five years as an elementary school tutor. I am looking forward to starting a new school year here and getting to know each child and their families. I moved to Michigan in May from Southern California where I was born and raised. I am also recently married and my husband is currently attending the University of Michigan Dental School. We live in Ann Arbor with our dachshund Rupert. In 2009 I received my B.A. in Liberal Studies from California State Polytechnic University of Pomona. I also received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in early 2011. I have experience teaching in kindergarten, 2nd and 5th grade classrooms. I enjoy reading, cooking, baking, walking Rupert, visiting new places and spending time with family and friends. I feel extremely lucky to be able to interact with CCLC children on a daily basis. I will dedicate myself to making sure each student is given an opportunity to be a successful in a positive environment.
