Welcome

We have six children and families that have recently started or will start in November.  They are Aiden Vierk, Anneka Faber, Aurora Fontichiaro, Kaitlyn Schwartz, Kiyerra Bolojan, and Magdalena Adams.  We welcome these children and families into the CCLC community. 

Parent/Teacher Conferences

The parent/ teacher conferences will be held November 7-11 for the Preschoolers and November 14-18 for the Infants/Toddlers. During the conference we will be discussing observations and assessments done by your child’s teacher or primary caregiver. Each conference will last twenty minutes.  A sign-up sheet has been posted in each classroom.  Please pick the time that best fits your family’s schedule. If you have any questions please feel free to contact your child’s classroom teachers.

Family Thanksgiving Gathering

We are honored you have chosen us to care for your most precious treasures, therefore we would like to show you our appreciation by providing and sharing a meal with your family and ours.  Our Thanksgiving Gathering will be on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 6:30pm.  In the past this celebration has been a great opportunity for families to socialize with each other and our staff outside of the daily exchanges at the center.  All family members are welcome.  Please look for an RSVP slip in your child’s cubby and/or through email.  We look forward to having a great time with all of you.

Attire for Cold Weather

Outdoor physical play is essential for the development of children.  We go outside twice a day unless the wind chill is 10 degrees Fahrenheit or below. It is critical that your child has proper attire for health and safety reasons.  Please make sure we have your child’s snow pants, boots, gloves, coat and hat for outdoor play at school each day.  Also, please look in your child’s “extra” clothes bin.  Long pants, socks, and shirts are needed for the cold weather. It is critical that all the winter snow/warm gear is labeled along with the “extra clothes” bin items. Please understand that our teachers’ very top priority is to supervise all the children at all times. While many children wear the same clothing and so many items, it is impossible for the teachers to track whose clothing belongs to whom without taking away the focus on the children. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
