Naomi Lapine

My name is Naomi (pronounced Namie) Lapine and I am an assistant teacher in the Frog Room. I am originally from England but was raised in France. I completed a degree in Computational Linguistics with French and Spanish before starting a career in communication. I worked for an advertising agency in Paris before hiring on with the United States Embassy there in their Press Office. I have always enjoyed current affairs so tracking audiovisual media in France was a lot of fun. I moved to the states after getting married and my husband’s job in the automotive industry brought us to Michigan. I chose to stay home to raise my 3 children. Recently, I have been involved as a volunteer in the schools, at my church and in the local scout troop. I discovered a joy for teaching and am happy to be part of the Creative Learning Center staff. I plan to continue my education in teaching. Outside of work, I enjoy going to my children’s sporting events and dance/theater productions, traveling, sewing, and cake decorating.
