Jessica Whitaker

Infant Toddler House Coordinator

Hi, my name is Jessica Whitaker. I have been with Children’s Creative Learning Center since August of 2006. I am the Infant/Toddler Coordinator and a Lead Teacher in the Infant/Toddler House. I enjoy the dual role of having one foot in the classroom side of childcare as a Lead Teacher and the other in the administrative side as the Infant/Toddler Coordinator. I have a total of eight years experience, working here at CCLC and Air Force Child Development Centers in Okinawa, Japan and South Dakota where I have lived. I am grateful I had the opportunity to discover the world of early childhood education. It has become my passion since the first time I worked in a child development center. I hold a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) from Washtenaw Community College and plan to pursue and Associates Degree sometime in the future. Besides working with children and their families I enjoy expressing my creativity through crafting, especially scrapbooking and home décor items. I love having a job where I can put my creativity to use daily and watch children as they discover and explore their creativity. The families and children that I have met since starting here have been a blessing and they each teach me something new daily. I am looking forward to this year and all the new experiences and precious memories that are sure to come with it.
