Newsletter—January 2012
Welcome
Welcome back! We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. We look forward to another rewarding and adventurous year. We are excited to spend 2012 with all the families and children at CCLC that we hold close to our hearts. We have four children and families that newly started in January. They are Alexander Calmeyn, Zackery Calmeyn, Hazel Paige and Anna Wiedemann. We welcome these children and families into the CCLC community.
Appreciation
Thank you to all the families that attended the Holiday Parade (we came in 3rd place), Holidays Around the World, and our CCLC Holiday Gathering. We enjoyed the activities and feel very blessed to have such outstanding families in our community! We would also like to give a big Thank You to all the families that donated to Toys for Tots and Saline Social Services (over 75 families are currently receiving services from Saline Social Services. This does not include the elderly or the couples/individuals in need). Because of your kindness and generosity, more children and families in need had food on the table and a gift to open! You all are difference makers! Both organizations were very appreciative and commented on our families’ generosity.
Changes in Infant/Toddler House
During the break, we have made another great innovation in Infant/Toddler House. A door was built between the butterfly room and one of the bathrooms which had seldom been used. The purpose of this change is to fully utilize the bathroom in potty training for the children in butterfly room as well as have an extra bathroom for the staff. By doing so, the teachers can take the children to use the potty without going through the Caterpillar room which will decrease the transition time and make the potty training a more positive experience.
We also had our carpets deep cleaned by a professional carpet cleaning company over the break. As it has been, creating and maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment for our children will continue to be our number one priority.
Policies in Review
Fees: Tuition is expected to be paid in advance on the first day of the month. If you choose to make two payments, the second half is due on the fifteenth of each month. When the first or fifteenth falls on a weekend, then the fee is due the Friday before. A $10 late fee for each day after the due date will be applied. As a small business, we carry necessary financial responsibilities on a daily bases. The most important of all is to our teachers. They get paid on the fifth and twentieth of each month. Your support by paying tuition on time is essential for us. Thank you for your understanding.
